LICENSING OF PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS
We wholeheartedly support the licensing of Private Investigators. Unfortunately, despite promises made by Prime Ministers from John Major to Theresa May it is still yet to happen
In the absence of any regulatory authority it is our responsibility to act professionally, legally and ethically. We are recognised as a professional company by the number of business awards for everything from Business Enterprise to recognition of the work of our Private Detectives. Add to that a trading history of more than twenty five years and you will see we have an organisation to be trusted
We work in an industry that is currently unregulated beyond adherence to common laws such as those of trespass and specific legislation such as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act, the Human Rights Act etc. The Security Industry Authority published a consultation document in the form of a Regulatory Impact Assessment on Licensing Private Investigation, a copy of which is published here
Answers Investigation are aware that some practitioners in this industry leave a little to be desired, and do not always adhere to the law, leading to some unlawful and incompetent practices. Please do not include us amongst this factor - we adhere to a viable moral and ethical code of practice, albeit one which is self imposed. We have won a number of business awards, testimony to what others think of us
We are one of the few companies to be open about who we are and what we do, endorsed on many occasions by the National Media; if you have any doubts about good practice, talk to us and we will guide you through what is good practice and what is not
