Emma (G) is studying for her GCSE's and spent a week with us in work experience. She describes her time in her own words:
"I recently did work experience with Answers. At first I was sceptical about how much I would be able to be involved - because them being undercover detectives I didn’t think I would be able to really experience it, However, I was informed a lot on what they do, also some of the cases they handle, then I heard about going on an observation, I started to get really exited just the thought of going undercover as a 'spy' "
"Firstly, I was able to join Olivia, she made me feel very welcome and gave me notes to look at about the job they were investigating, we took quite a long drive searching for a suspect’s car, I was filled with anticipation with it being my first time as a undercover detective. We eventually found the suspects car right where we expected it to be, we waited for a while but nothing else happened, so we headed back knowing we had done the job the best we could"
"My second observation was with Pritika. Even though I had to wake up at 5 in the morning, I was really excited; as before, she gave me the notes to read so I was fully informed on the investigation, then we headed off! After a while of waiting, we finally saw who we needed to, filled with adrenalin, we followed the suspect, after returning back to our location Pritika wrote down notes and a while passed until we finally saw our next suspect, this is when it really got interesting, the next few hours including me going undercover, a wild car follow and a MacDonald’s, we finally headed back with having all the evidence we needed. Apart from being exhausted with waking up at the crack of dawn, (mornings not being my strong point) I really did enjoy my day, and got a taste of what it was like as a private investigator"
"Lastly, I was able to learn how to take fingerprints which was really cool, apart from the excitement of being a undercover detective, it’s not all fun and games, there is a lot of hard work involved. Overall I have really enjoyed my time here at Answers, everyone is really welcoming and easy going, with a laid back atmosphere, even though my week has come to an end, Im hoping this wont be the last experience I have from Answers!"
